how to stream/connect to laptop

You have to be on the same network with both ( computer and xbox ) , instead of enterring the ip of the xbox, just try the automatic detection.

Your laptop would need to have an HDMI In connection which most laptops do not. You can stream the Xbox to your laptop through the Xbox app and play that way. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/games/game-setup/how-to-use-game-streaming

So if I understand you correctly, you are streaming from your console to your laptop, and you have your controller connected to the laptop with your earbuds connected to the controller?

How is your controller connected to the laptop? Via MicroUSB cable or via the Xbox wireless adapter for Windows 10?

you cannot connect the xbox console to the laptop, if you were thinking of using that screen you cant, the hdmi on laptop is for output only, if your thinking of streaming to the laptop then it will obviously be using the console hardware but the image and playability will depend on how good your network is.

If youre planning on streaming the video to your laptop, make sure both the console ans the laptop are on wired connections to minimize lag.
