How to stop "Winkey + Period" aka on screen (like) keyboard from Popping up during a game:...

That screen will only appear on a subsidized Xbox 360 system that was purchased on contract. During the 2 year contract term, the system needs to periodically connect to verify the contract status. If the contract is not current (aka you stop paying before
the contract is up), the system will be banned from Xbox Live.



Again, this is not a screen that will ever appear on a standalone Xbox 360 purchased at full retail. It will only appear on a subsidized system purchased under a contract.

but i still like the little icon at the top of the screen popping up during games

I meant that when u type using keyboard on xbox edge browser a pop on screen keyboard also appears which blocks the screen i was asking if their was a way to remove that pop up keyboard when using a keyboard

I just started having this same issue as well, It started in a game during a create a character section, then I went to the store to test it and the keyboard pops up and just freezes then kicks me back to the home screen or just stays where it is, what is
the fix for this?

I personally would like a keyboard / mouse not to play games, but to enter passwords or to make my life easier any time the faux keyboard pops up on the screen and to perhaps do a bit heavier duty surfing on the built in IE.......
