How to stop the gamepad from opening the Xbox Cloud Gaming Guide?

So I need to be disconnected from WiFi, wipe the cloud saves and local saves and I should be good? I’m on the Xbox and am not sure how to stop a particular game from saving to the cloud. I want my other games to save to cloud just not this particular game.

Let's have you try to clear the local 360 storage on the console and see if that helps.

1. Scroll left on the Home screen to open the guide.
   1. Note Double-tapping the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.
      
2. Select Settings.
3. Select All settings.
4. Select System and then select Storage.
5. Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.
6. Select Yes and restart the console. This will not affect your cloud saved games or Xbox One games and profiles.

Are you sure you ain't misquoting them

Xbox wheels will work on console not on cloud

Only controllers do and offically supported gamepads NOT flightsticks or wheels

That's odd... let's try re-download your cloud save:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select Clear local saved games (This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they’ll still be saved to the cloud)

After that, restart your console and open the game. In that way the progress saved in the cloud is going to be downloaded again to the console
