How to stop my Xbox one S from updating while still staying online?

Well, On My Xbox, It Also Does That, It Maybe That Your NAT is Strict or Moderate, You may need to go into your router settings and change how long an IP can stay online while you are also not playing an online match, what i did, was set my xbox's custom
IP address outside the firewall of my router. This solution has stopped me from disconnecting from xbox live at all, Unless I Sign out or have to update a game of course.

It happen also to me with my Xbox One Fat, the only way to make it stop was unplugged it...but one day it stops, without any advice.

What Xbox do you have and from how long it's making noise?

Its been making the noise for quite a while now, a lot longer then i should have been letting it go on. My xbox one is one of the original ones. I don't have an s or x.

Disk Unreadable is not necessarily a console issue.... try letting the disk spin until it stops while still staying at the menu. Also, check whether it's just the one disk.

Based on what we gathered from the video you console is still trying to install an update once things are paused?

Is that accurate to what you are experiencing? If it is not please post back with a detailed description!

In this case, it may be a required update for that particular game and pausing the individual update or uninstalling the title may be the best course of action.

Are you able to pause the single update?

Have you attempted to power cycle the console by powering it down, unplugging it for 5 minutes, and then trying once more?

i was on transit, anyway, yes plug unplug the power nothing worked, as the video show, i cannot stop not only updates but games download.

and i don't see any massage while i play online that they stops so i don't know if i play online while it download cntents in background.

i trought with a S of a friends and he is able to pause or stop them, me not, as u see after a pause button press, it stops all my list of downalod for a second one to one and then it come back downloading someone at random.

is not about unistall, they are gaming downaloads ,

i will try to pause a single downalod this night and let u know the result,

anyway is there is a solve that doesnt resect all my S i will be glad, it's 2 WEEK that i downloads 70gb games and i'm going to keep the bug if i will not be able to keep the games.

Servers will probably stay up for a good while after BF4 releases.When they die out and they stop making a profit then they will take them down,I mean look how long BF2MC servers stayed and they were free!They won't take them down while money is being made
from them.
