How to stop auto sign ins on the Xbox PC app

I've been trying to turn off auto sign ins on my Xbox app but noting has been working.

Every time I sign out on the app it signs me right back in without letting me change my details or accounts. I've tried resetting my app, deleting it and changing my settings on the Microsoft website but nothing has worked.

How to stop auto sign ins on the Xbox PC app

Hello, Keaton my name is Oskayra I am an independent advisor and player like you I hope I can help solve your problem today

It's definitely frustrating when you're trying to turn off auto sign-in on the Xbox app but it keeps signing you back in automatically. This can be especially annoying if you want to use the app with different accounts or simply prefer to sign in manually. Having tried several troubleshooting steps already, it's good that you've explored resetting the app, deleting it, and changing settings on the Microsoft website. Let's explore some additional options that might resolve this issue:

    Check for App Updates:

Ensure you have the latest version of the Xbox app installed. Sometimes, outdated versions can have bugs that lead to unexpected behavior like automatic sign-ins. Update the app through your preferred platform (Microsoft Store, App Store, etc.).

    Verify Windows Account Settings:

In your Windows settings, check if the "Sign in automatically after an update or restart" option is enabled. This setting can override any sign-in preferences within the Xbox app. Here's how to check:

Go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options.
Under "Privacy settings," find the option "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart."
If this option is enabled, disable it and restart your PC.

    Check Windows Credential Manager:

The Windows Credential Manager stores login information for various applications, including the Xbox app. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted credentials can cause automatic sign-ins. Here's how to manage them:

Open Control Panel and search for "Credential Manager."
    Go to "Windows Credentials."
Look for credentials related to the Xbox app.

Select the credential and click "Remove."
Restart your PC and try signing in to the Xbox app manually.

    Check for Third-Party Software Interference:

Certain third-party applications like password managers or antivirus software might interfere with the Xbox app's sign-in process. Try temporarily disabling such applications and see if the auto-sign in persists.

    Reset Xbox App Data:

Resetting the Xbox app's data can sometimes fix issues with settings and configurations. This will erase app data like saved games and preferences but keep your account information. Here's how to do it:

Go to Settings > Apps & features.
Find the Xbox app and click "Advanced options."
    Click "Reset."

I really hope your problem has been fixed with my help, have a nice day. Oskayra

Why can’t I sign into Minecraft but I can sign in to Xbox?

Typically on both IOS and ADROID having the XBOX app (companion) will provide the device with consistant verification instead of multiple sign ins
