    How to stop a stalker


    My son has an account and had added a friend who turned out to be a bully. He I friended him but said bully still taunts him daily saying he can see what he’s up to. Is this possible? My son does not know this kids gamer tag so I cannot block him.

    Can you give me any advice on how we can easily stop this kid following him?

    Many thanks, causing my son sleepless nights.

    Any way to stop a follower from following?

    I don't have an xbox 1 so I don't know how to stop someone from following. Is it even possible? What if the person is a stalker? anyone?

    How to stop a stalker

    Hi there,

    You would need to figure out the user's gamertag so you can block the user. The steps can be found here: Xbox Enforcement | How Do I

    Do you know how long ago the user was added as a friend, or when your son last played a game with this person? You could then look through the friend list or recent player list.

    If your son has received any messages from the user you can block the user that way.

    Depending on how many friends your son has, you could right down the complete list of his friends tags and start blocking a few at a time to see if the taunting stops. If it doesn't, then you can unblock those users. Do that until you find the account you're
    looking for.

    The other option is to make sure/change the
    privacy settings     on your son's account to block sharing of any/all information for your son's account, but that will block information sharing for all his friends, not just that one.

    If he is not on your friend list, why don't you just change all your online safety settings to friends only? You might have friends who are in common and he can find you by stalking their friends lists. If you change all your settings to friends only,
    you will still be visable to your friends but blocked to him. Sorry that is happening to you. If you mute and block him, you will not get messages from him (at least his primary account - he could still make silvers to stalk you) or hear him in game chat.
