How to split a purchase between a pre-paid visa and a debit card

While the Xbox Billing system is not set up to specifically accept Debit cards, they can work for purchases. I often use my Visa Debit for purchases on Xbox.

Although if a Debit card does not work then there is not much anyone can do, the officially supported methods of payment are Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Paypal.

If you are haveing trouble with a Debit card you could try linking that to a Paypal account and then the Paypal to the Xbox account. Or just use Pre Paid Codes.

Yes, of course you can. You just need to confirm the purchase. A box will display, advising that the rest of cost will be paid for using the card you have on file. When I pre-ordered Fallout 4, I split the payment between the money in my account and my
Debit Card.

If you are concerned about interest and don't have a VISA debit card there are many pre-paid CC options available.

Confirm that you are using an approved payment method

You can use Visa, MasterCard or American Express cards in Marketplace as long as they allow international purchases. Even if your card displays a Visa or MasterCard logo, it is possible that it's not approved by your bank or issuing financial institution
for international purchases.

Note Pre-paid cards, debit cards and gift cards (even those with a Visa or MasterCard logo) do not qualify as international cards and are not currently accepted. they do accept PRE-Paid points cards
