    How to speak with a new wireless controller


    I have had a new wireless headset and the sound is fine it’s just it won’t let be talk or use voice controls. Whenever I try and go to party chat it just doesn’t change so I’m constantly in game chat when I don’t want to be and even when I am in game chat I can’t speak. What should I do

    Sorry you're having issues with your controller. Can you expand on what you meant when you say resetting the console? Are you just talking about a power cycle, or are you speaking of a full reset?

    For the controller I would recommend doing the following. First, try to plug it in via USB cable. Doing this automatically performs a new sync on the wireless controller. If that doesn't work please see this link on

    WIreless Xbox 360 controller won't connect to Windows 10 PC

    Observe how the copy says:

    Note that it says any XBox Wireless controller. If it only works for XBox One controllers, that is, at the very least, misleading.

    It appears that I will have to avail myself of the "hassle-free returns" policy.
