How to solve error 0x80830003, error message says unable to save more data for this game or...

Hi XochitlRuiz, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

As for now, I only get the error when starting tropico 6 and everytime it try’s to save. And in Warframe when changing something in my Arsenal.

Also the error startet appearing on my console after i tested the new Xbox streaming services.

I have tried power cycling but that didn’t help, deleted some game files also didn’t help.

Hello There I'd like to collect some additional information from you regarding that error code.

When do you run into that error code? Is it a regular occurrence or does it happen randomly? Does it happen in all games, specific ones, or only one?. Have you tried any other troubleshooting steps yet? If not, I recommend you try power cycling your Xbox One console. If that doesn't help, the next thing I'd recommend trying is a factory reset of your console. Be sure to choose the option that allows you to keep your games and apps when you do that.

Welcome to Microsoft Xbox Community Forum. I understand that you're having trouble with your Starfield save files. I understand how frustrating it can be to lose progress in a game, especially after investing so much time into it. Let's see what we can do to help you recover your save files.



Just to confirm; after deleting saved data and restarting your console, you are now able to fix the error "We can't save more data for this game or app" and you are able to play Starfield. However, the files for your progress on the game was deleted as well and so, you are now prompted to start a new game, correct?

There are a few possible causes for this issue. One is that your Xbox storage is full and cannot save any more data. Another is that your save files are corrupted or incompatible with the latest version of the game. A third is that there is a problem with your Xbox Live account or cloud sync.



To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps:

1. Check your Xbox storage and make sure you have enough space for the game and its save files. You can do this by going to Settings > System > Storage. If you need to free up some space, you can delete some games or apps that you don't use, or move them to an external hard drive.

2. Check your save files and make sure they are not corrupted or incompatible. You can do this by going to My games & apps > Starfield > Menu button > Manage game and add-ons > Saved data. If you see any files with a yellow exclamation mark or a red X, that means they are corrupted or incompatible and need to be deleted. You can also try to delete the reserved space file, which is used for updates and patches.

3. Check your Xbox Live account and cloud sync settings. You can do this by going to Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & passkey. Make sure you are signed in with the correct account and that your password is up to date. You can also go to Settings > System > Backup & transfer > Sync my settings and make sure that cloud sync is enabled.



If none of these steps work, I'm afraid there is no way to recover your old save files from Starfield. They may have been overwritten or deleted permanently. However, you can still start a new game and enjoy the game's features and content.
