How to setup your family on Xbox One

The best way to do this is have an adult account setup for yourself, then go into your settings to add a family account, this will allow you to add restrictions including access to buying from the store which will require permission from you to proceed.

Have you added her to your family account? You can do that and make your console you Home Console. This will allow them to share your Live Gold.

That's how I have mine setup and the kids can access multiplayer just fine for Fortnite

You created an adult account for him by using your own email address. Your best bet would be to create a child account for him, and then add him to the family, so you can setup time limits.
