    How to setup my Xbox Music


    Cheers everyone!

    Today I've started using Xbox Music and I've subscribed for the free one month trial. I own a desktop, a laptop and a lumia (with WP 8.1) and I'd like my music to be sync'd and shared across all my devices.

    Before trying XBM I had my music locally stored in mp3 files in my phone all sorted in playlists which I created with the software Mediamonkey (I did that before WP8.1 came out so I had to use an external software to create playlists). The first time I
    logged in XBM from my desktop I noticed that my playlists are already there, with the correct names and song lists but I can't play them from the browser (there's an exclamation mark next to the song names and all the texts are greyed out).

    Honestly I'm very confused about how the whole XBM system work. How am I supposed to setup my system? Should I copy my mp3 files to my phone? How can I play those songs on my laptop for example? Do they need get uploaded to a dedicated cloud /OneDrive or
    xbox music just identifies the songs by titles/authors and it streams the songs according to those properties? Should I create the playlists directly in the XBM website instead and download the songs in my various devices after(in order to play them offline)?
    Last but not least: what features does the xbox music pass include that the free account doesn't (besides the 10 hours/month limit removal)?

    If someone could give me some tips or post a complete and clear guide about it I'd be immensly grateful since I'm a bit overwhelmed by all of this!

    Xbox Music OneDrive music library.

    I've downloaded the update to Xbox Music on Xbox One that allows you to play music from a folder in OneDrive. I have copied some music to my OneDrive in a folder I titled "Music". No music however is showing up in the collection view in the Xbox Music app,
    it just gives a link with details on how to setup OneDrive music. I am using AAC files from iTunes and AAC is listed as a supported format. I'm not sure whats going wrong, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks. Good to know it is not something related to my setup, but bad to know Win8 won't play music videos with the Xbox music pass : (

    Unfortunately connecting an iPhone to the XBOX 360 will not allow you to listen to music from it. The only devices that work that are Apple based were the older style 1st and 2nd generation iPods with the big hard drives for plugging in and listening to
    music on the XBOX 360. If you wanted to listen to music while playing on your console you'd have to setup streaming music from your PC to your XBOX 360. Instructions on how to do that can be found

    It is not possible to stream music to your Xbox 360 while playing games. But you can play music that is stored on your hard drive while playing games. Take a look at the information on our support page for
