How to set xbox to ipv6

Only selected home routers support Ipv6. I would recommend checking it on the manual of your router or contacting your Internet Service Provider if they support Ipv6. They should also provide you with the correct steps need to be done on your router settings to set it up.

On your network settings it will state IPV4 or IPV6, IPV6 is recommended for online play, you would get better latency ect.

It will be dependent on your internet providers settings as to how you would be required to amend your current network settings

How familiar are you with your router settings and configuration? I understand they might be capable of IPv6, but you might have to configure your DHCP to hand out IPv6 addresses, or set your Xbox One with a static IPv6 address. If you have some questions

IPV6 is a router setting that the xbox will use if its turned on. You will need too contact your internet provider and ask if they support IPV6 and if they do how too enable it.

For Xbox to connect to the internet using IPv6, your home router needs to have IPv6 enabled, and your internet service provider (ISP) must support IPv6.

Here’s how to check if your xbox is using IPv6:

Press the Xbox button  on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General.

Select Network settings.

If your Xbox console has IPv6 connectivity, your Current Network Status will read IPv4 & IPv6. (To see your actual IP and gateway addresses, select Advanced settings.)
