How to set up 2 Xbox in one house

Hi

I am sure this question has been asked a thousand times but I struggle to find my exact scenario.

I have two Xbox ones and two children. My live account is the master live account and my two children use their own gamer profiles that are in my family.

What is the best setup to ensure they can both play live (without my profile signed in) and also share games that I have purchased online?

Multiple consoles

I now have 3 Xbox one consoles in the house, my question is how do I connect them to where we can all play online together. Do they each need their own Xbox live subscription or what. My Xbox one is set as the home Xbox and I'm confused on how to set up the other xboxs

You would need to designate one of the consoles as the home console which you can find out how to do

Thanks for the quick response.

I have read about the home console. And I know on the home console I won’t need to be signed in myself. But, on the second console, the one that is not home, will my gamer Id need to be signed in to enable my son to then use his profile?

Effectively I don’t really want to have to sign in as my parent Id on either Xbox unless I plan to play.

If your son is using any console other than the Home console, he can still access his profile, but you would need to be signed in so he can access gold or any games on your account.

Question currently i have 2 xbox ones in the house only one console can be a family set up to share game pass and live with the family.

When I get the series X will this allow me to set the X and the one as 2 separate family devices?
