how to rid split screen play

Want to play gears4 with nephew,,,,,I can't handle the split screen,,,boutght hdmi splitter hoping this would end problem it didn't. How can I play on 2 diff screens without the split screen.

Splitscreen question

As far as I know, that's how split screen is in every game.

The graphics get lowered when playing split screen.

I may self get angry sometimes when I play split screen.

 

multiplayer screen has black bars on R and L sides

I have this same problem...all of a sudden! Those of you saying this is how it is suppose to be are wrong...I have been playing Halo 4 for months in split screen multiplayer and the black bars were not there! About 6 weeks ago they appeared on the screen
for the first time and now I cannot get rid of them.

 

I'm afraid that you need another xbox to do that.

Thanks for bringing the question to the forums. Firstly there is no way to do this playing on same console. In order to do this you could get a separate console

set up the console as a home console and you and nephew can play together both benefiting with full screen.

Home console set up in short. When you purchase or use another Xbox download profile that owns the game. go to settings>personalization>my home xbox set as home.

Any other account on that console will be able to play any games that profile owns and use Xbox live. You will still be able to play on other console as long as the home console is connected to the internet.
