    How to resolve Xbox hard crashing?


    I have been having issues with my Xbox Series X for the past 3 months and the issue was originally isolated to just Battlefield 2042 but has now spread to other titles. While in game, the Xbox will hard crash requiring to unplug from the electric outlet and reconnect before it will power back on. The issue has now spread to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Destiny 2. So here's a list of steps I've done so far

    - Applied all available system and app updates

    - Factory reset, full clean wipe including games and apps

    - Air dusted meticulously

    - Attempted different electric outlets

    - Changed position of console from vertical to horizontal

    - Called Microsoft support, most info I got was that my warranty is expired (coincidentally right around the time the issue started with warranty expiring on October 13th, 2022)

    So I have a history with tech repair and maintenance and I have never had a device behave this way. I can watch YouTube and Netflix all day, no issues. I can play Persona 5 Royal, Rocket League and Stardew Valley all day with no crashes. Even Destiny 2 has been interesting, I can run strikes and Gambit all good but as soon as I go to the Tower to check my Postmaster or talk to the vendor Clovis Bray, hard crash. I have been an Xbox customer for over a decade and none of my devices ever had an issue like this. So I believe I can rule out a faulty power supply or overheating. It seems to me to be a software issue which is why I contacted support to be told it could be a potential developer issue. Yet my friends with the same system and games don't experience this issue. This has been frustrating and if anyone has advice or has experienced a similar issue, I would greatly appreciate the support. Thanks!

    Based on the description, it appears that you are having an issue on your Xbox experiencing hard crashing.

    Before anything else, let me ask you the following questions below so that I fully understand the problem.

    1. When playing such game, does the console is experiencing overheating already? Battlefield 2042Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Destiny 2

    If it is overheating, you need to put it in well ventilated area.

    I resolved the issue myself, it was a conflict after Xbox Fitness crashed. I did a hard reboot, held the power button for 5 seconds, then unplugged the console for 10 seconds. Upon rebooting it worked fine.
