    How to resolve login issue on Xbox 360 game?


    Okay, let me see if I can get this all straight...

    I have been working on the digital Xbox 360 version of Watch Dogs for a couple weeks. Besides the issues with Ubisoft's servers themselves, I have had no other problems logging in and playing. On 01/09/2024, I earned an achievement that glitched (i.e. it was showing unlocked only on that console and no where else despite being logged into Xbox Live). A separate issue, but one I know how to fix from previous encounters: redownload my profile and earn the achievement again. Easy enough, and I deleted my profile from the console I was playing on and redownloaded it.

    Well, now I can't log into my game. At all. When I load the game up I'm hit with an error that says I need to login with the profile that owns the game. But... I am. I own three other Xbox 360s, so I did some tests. Sure enough, this error comes up on every one of them. Even weirder, when I load the game up on the console that has the license, other profiles are able to play. But, the minute I log into my main profile, I get the error again. I'm using three different digital copies of the game, and three different copies of my profile. On top of that, EVERY other one of my digital titles work, even other Ubisoft titles.

    Peeps, I'm stumped.

    Install or open Xbox Companion on your PC, login with your account in this app, then open the Xbox app and see if that resolves the issue.
