    How to resolve choppy audio on iPhone 14 when using remote play on Xbox app?


    I’ve seen several locked posts on this, either iPhone 14 or 15. Most people have no problem on iPads, but I cannot fix choppy audio using remote play on iPhone 14. I have tried every solution. My connection is fine, playback is smooth, on 5ghz band. I’ve tried restarting Xbox through the app on the phone, tried changing audio settings in the app and through the Xbox itself. I have tried every audio settings on the phone, I have no post processing turned on. I’ve updated the app, the phone, the Xbox. Done hard reboot to clear cache. Restarted the phone. I’ve tried muting the mic. Tried using the Dolby for headphones app. If the problem is with the phone, it’s understandable, but it doesn’t change the fact that the app is broken. MS can pass the buck to Apple and vice versa, but it’s not helping the consumer at all. If it’s a problem with the phone, what is the problem so I can complain to Apple about it? I see no related threads on Apple forums, but it could be because no one is able to articulate the problem properly. It seems to affect only a few recent iPhone models, although my iPad came out between iPhone 14 and 15 and it has no problems, so it might be a hardware issue. Just don’t know how to resolve it.

    What specifically doesn't work? The stream audio or the party audio?
    Was that not covered in the OPs post?

    Seems to me that the OP is playing using the Remote Play function but the Microphone doesn't work when in a party chat whilst using the Remote Play. the Mic works fine when directly connected to the Xbox or used via the Xbox App

    Ive been having this same issue i used to game fine in my iPhone 12 pro but ever since I got my iPhone 14 pro max I haven't been able to remote play on it from anywhere other than right next to my xbox on the same wifi network. So disappointing

    Xbox thinks headset connected anytime I remote play on iPad

    I’m using my iPad or iPhone remotely when I play games. No HDMI cable. I reset network settings on my Xbox/iPad as well. No luck.

    Unfortunately there’s no way to completely disable the headset on the Xbox, as it automatically assumes a headset is plugged in as soon as I start remote playing on my iPad or iPhone. As soon as I stop remote playing, it goes back to normal.
