    How to reset elite series 2 controller firmware


    I got a console notification that updated my controller firmware, but since its updated the controller is laggy and unresponsive. I have tried using the Xbox assist menus to force the firmware to revert to the previous working state but I either get an error saying that there is no controller plugged in (I have checked it is connected) or a notification that I already have the latest firmware - I know that, I want the previous version that actually worked.

    How can I get the Xbox accessories app to revert the firmware?

    My Xbox controller Elite series 2 doesn't update to the latest firmware via Xbos Accesories App (Windows 11, version 23H2)

    Firmware version 517.3202.0 is the latest firmware version available for the Elite Series 2 controller. So your controller has the latest firmware available.

    Don't forget the Elite Series controllers use a different firmware than the other controllers, because it has different features to the standard controllers.

    This makes me sad :( Just got the controller and was excited to use it. Got it working with the devices I wanted then thought... oh an update that's good. Now I can't use it the same way. No way to revert is a tough pill to swallow.
