    How to report threats of violence


    Hi,

    My son has stated that in a party chat with his friends one of their Dads has got on the mic accusing of bullying and threatened to beat him up after school.

    This happened tonight at around 1920hrs. I cannot call or speak to an agent online about this. This should be looked into and investigated as a fully grown adult cannot be threatening violence towards a 10yo child as he leaves school for the day!

    I have gamertags involved and a rough time of 1920hrs.

    Is this possible to be looked into so that if it is true I can then go to the police with evidence?

    Who can i report this too to investigate?

    You would need to report the profile and let the enforcement team investigate the account. Also you can call your son’s school and tell them what happened so they can keep your son safe at school.

    You would need to file a complaint on them through their profile in order for the enforcement team to investigate them. If you do feel threatened outside of Live, you would need to contact your local police.

    Report and block the user do not engage with them as you can then be reported yourself. If they create an alternate account report and block that too. If it is physical threats of violence and you know the individual you can always screenshot that and
    report it to the authorities.

    It doesn't matter how the situation starts. If you respond in a way that violates the code of conduct (which profanity does), you can be punished. In situations like that, it's best to just report the other person and block communications with them.
    The problem is, doing it that way, you will end up getting a suspension still for reporting everyone, and they still won't be ban. Sending 1 message isn't harassing, and unless it contains cuss inappropriate,
    demeaning, profane and suggestive word, or threat ( of violence as im willing to bet DDoS attack threats or Reset stats etc wouldn't matter to Xbox Enforcment).
