You dont get suspended simply due to false reports. In fact anyone filing false reports are subject be being suspended themselves since filing false reports is against the terms of service/code of conduct.

All reports are investigated before any action is taken. If your brother believed the suspension was made by mistake then he can file for a case review while logged into the suspended account and enforcement.xbox.com

That is the only to contact the enforcement team as they don't use the forums and wont see this.

There's no time limit on when you can get suspended for an offence so technically you could get suspended for something you did years ago.

Due to the time it takes to investigate any report that is filed it is extremely rare for anyone to get suspended instantly so as Sara said,you would of been suspended for something you did weeks ago.

On rare occasions you may get a thank you message if someone receives enforcement action due to a report you've filed but the majority of the time you are not told the result of any report you file so do not know whether someone has been suspended or not.

Other users cannot directly ban your account. They would have to submit a report and the reported account would only get a ban if they did something that violated the Code of Conduct.

If you believe there are unauthorized users on your account, then I highly recommend

changing your password right away to prevent further logins and trouble.

The enforcement team do not use the forums.

You wont get suspended for false reports,you only get suspended if you have actually done something to violate the ToU/Coc

Any report filed is thoroughly investigated first before a suspension is issued.

An email would of been sent to the address linked to your account telling you why you were suspended or you can log on to the enforcement site to check & file for a case review if eligible
