How to remove number after name

I have a # number after my name and I want to remove it, and when I search up my name I don't see any other users with the same name.

The only way would be to change your tag to a gamertag that is not in use and doesn't have special characters.

I understand that you have a query about your gamertag. If your gamertag is showing a suffix of numbers after the symbol #, it means your gamertag is already taken or associated with an Xbox account. The system automatically assigned you the suffix of numbers to keep your gamertag unique and it’s there to tell you apart from players who have the same gamertag. Unfortunately, we do not have the option to remove them.

The number after this is how many people have the name "TT". If you come up with a different name that no one else has, you can have no numbers.

Unluckly for you, there is no way to remove the numbers on your current name. the numbers are there because you have a shared name. The only ways to get rid of the numbers in your name are to have a name that nobody else has, or to be the first person
with a name that others have.
