    How to remove music from the cloud?


    I too would like the option to remove artists/albums as I also have some messed up items in my collection (missing tracks from synced albums mostly). Since I have the Xbox Music pass, I would like to get rid of most of my synced collection and just keep
    my pinned albums from the streamed media.

    How to remove music from the cloud?

    My cloud collection is seriously messed up. I have duplicate albums, albums that are split in two, and content that shouldn't be in my collection at all (perhaps mis-matched content from my "synced" collection). I have been trying to clean this up by removing
    stuff from the cloud collection. I tried this by doing so at music.Xbox.com. However, the changes I'm making there aren't showing up on my devices (Windows Phone 8 and my Surface with Windows 8.1).

    Why aren't these the same? New content shows up, but I can't seem to remove anything, without going to each device, even though I have "cloud" selected.

    Is there a way to "reset" my cloud collection to start over? I would love to clear it entirely and manually add content, since the auto-matching did not do a good job.

    Please help!

    Hi all - I can't figure out how to remove music that I previously downloaded to my Xbox Music Pass account? I've removed it from the Music file on my laptop but it is still in the rotation of the My Music section.

    For Music purchases, those are one-time downloads through the Zune Software, however if you use the Xbox Music app and sign in using the same account that made the purchases, you can redownload purchased music using the Xbox Music Cloud. Be sure to open
    the Xbox Music app, go to the Charms bar, and then Preferences, and set Xbox Music Cloud to Enabled.

    I haven't tried cloud-syncing local music yet but I think the two situations are very similar. Here's what happens with me: Any cloud music is automatically synced to the phone as streamable. If there's already a (previously downloaded) local copy (of
    a song), I now have two copies, one streamable and one local. Same thing happens if I have a streamable copy and then sync (the same item) to the phone using the Windows Phone 8 app. In this case a local copy gets created in addition to the existing streamable
    copy.

    To remove the duplicate, I delete the local copy (use the tap-hold menu on the local copy on the phone), then download the streamable copy.

    I hope this makes sense. I'll try and clarify, if it doesn't.
