How to remove followe/hackers that are blocked?

Unable To Remove A Follower On XBOX One

I am having the same problem so many others have reported on various websites and forums such as this one. I have a random person that has followed me and I cannot remove them. I could have swore that I have been able to remove a follower in the past,
so I am confused why it no longer works. I messaged that person hoping they would be a good sport and "unfollow" me. Yeah, that went about as well as you'd expect. I have scoured the internet and only found the same complaints by others. There seems to
be no concrete way to remove a follower. Blocking and unblocking does not work.

Has anyone who has had this problem recently been lucky with support here? Has anyone been successful in removing a follower that was previously not removable?

I contacted XBOX Support via telephone three times hoping there was something on their end that the IT department could do. I thought surely they could go into my list and edit it behind the scenes. Zero luck.

I even went as far as changing my gamertag in hopes that would change something or create a glitch that would remove them.

After trying that I recommend my gamertag quickly on a new created account so I can at least holdon to my previous gamertag.At best i am hoping microsoft can just transfer my purchases over to the new account. This is very dangerous as those followers can
have triggers or scripts encrypted in them to follow you from devices to devices. In other words everytime you login with that account thatvhas the followers if they are hacking you through that account you will always be compromise regardless of any security
features yoi put in place.

Lastly Microsoft suspended the wrong account instead of resolving my issues. I hope to god they can unsuspend my account with my 10 year old account gamertag. I built a reputation using that gamertag and was on my way to doing content creation.
