How to remove additional numbers from gamer tag

The unfortunate issue is I do not have access to that account or remember the details to it. Support couldn’t pull or verify that information for me. An issue with that is when you enter the tag it states it is available, I then go into games and there is a suffix. The suffix is not present on my Xbox gamepass accnt

The only way to have a tag without the suffix is to choose a tag that isn't already in use on the servers and doesn't have any special characters. If you still have access to the account you created on the 360, you could sign into it and change it to free it up for use, but otherwise, as long as it's still on the servers you'll still get the suffix if you try to use it on a different account.

hello there i don't think you guys in microsoft are getting the picture how do you remove a gamer tag from a microsoft account so there is no gamer tag on the account? better yet how can you cancel a microsoft account period?

Unfortunately, you only get ONE free gamertag change. For any additional gamertag changes, the cost is 800 Microsoft points.

Please tell me how I can remove his xbox and all of his data and gamer tag from my email. without losing my email account and or all his data and gamer tag. I would be very greatful.
