How to register extended warranty for elite 2 controller

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/ and sign in with your Xbox account/profile, then click Add Device (in the blue banner at the top of the screen) and follow the instructions to register an Xbox accessory.

They recently extended the warranty for elite 2 to one year. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/controller/elite-controller-series-2-warranty . maybe this will help

support.xbox.com/.../warranty-and-registration-faq and I cannot find a way to extend a warranty online? I have no device registered by Xbox yet.

support.xbox.com/.../servicing-elite-controller is more help too for the future about servicing the Elite controller.
