how to refund a gift

I don’t think I ordered as a gift. How do I refund and reorder as a gift?

If your refund was denied, and you believe it is a mistake because you have not requested many refunds this year, please respond to the email you received informing you of the refund rejection. In your response, explain in detail the reasons why they should reconsider their decision and why you believe they should accept it. This is the only way to appeal the rejection and get back in touch with the team that originally handled your refund request.

If you have not received any email informing you of your refund rejection after 24 hours, even after checking your spam/junk folder, I recommend requesting a refund again using this alternative link:

If your refund is denied again this time, you should receive an email informing you of the denial as this is the only way they have to communicate this information when a refund is requested through that link. When you receive the email, respond to it as I mentioned before.

Hi, My issue on hand is as follows. I purchased a gift using the xbox app on a windows 10 logged in using my xbox cridentials. The gift I purchased for a xbox friend indicates that the content is for PC only. I logges into my account to request a refund (within 24 hours), but there is no option. Please advise how can I rectify this?

Did your friend by chance already redeem the gift? If so then this would be why there isnt an option for a refund as gifts that have already been redeemed are non-refundable.

As per the terms of the gift once redeemed it can't be refunded

Gifts can only be refund if it hasn't been redeemed

If any of those conditions are met.you cannot refund it

The refund policy otherwise only apply for Purchased games not gifted games under 14 days or 2hours of gameplay

Gift games.conditions are unused or Same region as the gifter that's it

This is the same with any giftcard
