How to redeem a code after an error

In case it isn't, look for the purchase in your Transaction History.

Sign in here:

Copy the order number and contact Xbox Support.

Then, follow these steps:

Type in your query: "Subscription"

Click on Get Help.

Scroll down the page and click on Contact Support.

Select your "Other Products" and "Manage my subscription" > Confirm.

Select Chat with support agent > Confirm > Start Chat.

Are you getting any error while trying to install the game? Is the error during redeeming the codes, or after redeeming them?

Was this after you already redeemed your Gears of War 2 code? Were you able to play before after redeeming the code? Lastly, what specifically occurs when you try playing Gears of War 2 now? Is there an error code or error message you can pass us?

I can't even redeem the Microsoft points I bought today 8/28/13 all it does is give me error codes the code works it gets to the point where it says are you sure you want to redeem these points after that it gives me the error code

If the code has been used, then after you click on the button to redeem the code, it will show an error message that the code has already been redeemed.

If the code however "goes through" and shows for what the code is, you can abort the redemption process, and still use or sell the code.

Just make sure you sell it to an honest person, and ideally you are present when they redeem the code on their account.

Otherwise the person could go home, redeem the code, and then tell you the code didn't work, asking for a refund. After he has redeemed the code, you have no means to check if he really redeemed it, or if the code had other issues.
