How to recover deleted game data.

Hey, so I had my xbox account linked to my boyfriends console so when I would go to his house we wod play diablo 3 together. Well we broke up recently because I caught him cheated. To be petty he logged into my account on his console and deleted my entire friends list and all of my saved characters and games on diablo and some other games aswell.

Is there a way I can retrieve all of my stuff back? I changed my Microsoft password and I went on the site and removed his xbox from my known devices.

This won't be possible if you already log into the game being online as the current console data would already be synchronized with the cloud, if you haven't done that and you play the games being offline when you go back online this being the newest data will be synchronized with the cloud

If the game data has been deleted there is no way to recover it.

Hi!

The saves are on Cloud if you have the console connected correctly to the Live service and it's in "Online" mode. Once you re-install the game, the saves and progress will be synchronized back to the console.

If the game you deleted was a Xbox One game, then your savegame data should be safely stored online in the Xbox Cloud, unless you chose to delete the savegame data from "all" consoles.

If you only deleted the local savegame storage, simply launch the game (after installing it, if necessary), and then let the console synchronize your savegame from the cloud.

If there is a conflict about the local savegame and cloud savegame, make sure to choose the cloud version in the confirmation dialogue.
