How to recover access to Microsoft Account to get back Minecraft account back

Hello,

I have serious problem. I created once account in Gmail for my daughter. I used it to create Microsoft account and I bought Minecraft for my daughter.

Problem is following. I used the same password for both (Gmail, Microsoft). I used some password I never used before anywhere else as it's for my daughter. I forgot that password and I didn't set recovery email. Recovery process asks me questions which are not sufficient to prove that I'm the owner.

What I have for verification is:
- My daughter's Microsoft account is added to my family
- I bought Minecraft for her and also added money to her account (I know how much)
- This MS account is used for nothing else

But automatic process doesn't ask about those details.

Problem is that I paid with PayPal, so recovery process asks me about credit card number, but actually in billing information I don't have credit card number, but "PayPal". But recovery questions accept only a number (last 4 digits from credit card).

Second... It asks me about services I use in Microsoft, but not sure which answer is correct. I don't have Xbox console. It's used just to login to MineCraft. I don't remember past passwords.

I cannot contact any human from customer support according to this case. It's highly annoying, but all contact forms redirect me to AI machines. How can I get back Minecraft credentials (authenticated through MS account) back?

I got rejection when used form to recover my Microsoft account, as they ask only about credit card number used to buy licence. No field where I can explain the situation.

PS. I ask here, because recovery of Gmail account is even more not possible. I cannot send recovery code to email. I just created email box to create MS account. So it's lost forever probably. Thanks in advance for your help. Here I can prove somehow I'm the owner. In Gmail no way.

Thank you for your help. I consider recovery of my Gmail account as not possible. I have totally no other verification methods there.

However in Microsoft there is still a chance, but automatic process doesn't predict my case. I tried once again by adding another VISA card number (however I still have no idea what number should I give when using PayPal, I doubt that PayPal exposes card added to PayPal so Microsoft haven't got that info) and added new detail which is Xbox Gamertag. So maybe it will help. I'm waiting for results.

I will try a few times, otherwise I will create new account and buy new licence for Minecraft. Too bad that this process cannot be verified by human. It's clearly my account, but it needs to be verified by some more sophisticated method than strict form with questions not adapted to the situation.

This is a Microsoft Account recovery issue that we are unable to resolve on our end. We don't have a recovery tool as it deals with personal information and is considered part of privacy. The only way to recover the Minecraft account is to recover the Microsoft Account. Since you have been through the recovery process with success, you may try to submit another ticket and provide as much info as possible to help you possibly recover the account.

Hello,

Thank you for your help. I have no other way. I will create all from scratch and buy new licence. Topic can be closed. I will try to report somewhere hints for improvements maybe, but now I'm not sure how I can do that. I'm software engineer long years, but really don't like automated processes. Human could verify this easily. It doesn't work well and there is no flexibility at all. However my fault I haven't set recovery email. Good lesson for the future.
