How to reconnect Xbox elite series 2 controller via bluetooth

I just purchased an xbox elite series 2, configured, updated, and set everything up good to go. However, when I disconnect it from the cable, it can't seem to reconnect via bluetooth. It is registered as a device under my bluetooth devices, but the only
way I can get it to reconnect is to remove it from the list of bluetooth accessories and repair it. This is kinda annoying as I can automatically reconnect via bluetooth with my ps4 controller no problem, but have to jump through hoops on this $150 controller.
If someone could assist me with this, I would greatly appreciate it as I don't want to have to return it.

I have a few Elite Series 2 controllers and they all fail to reconnect to my PC via Bluetooth after disconnecting from the USB cable. Are you saying that having to remove the device and add it in again via Bluetooth is normal/the way the controller was
designed?! Where might I find info on this? I would like to get it figured out. Thanks.

This controller does not support xCloud. These are the controllers you can use.

It should be getting an update to fix that issue. I'm surprised you got it to work at all!

Having similar Issues. My Elite series 2 controller works fine for about an hour or so, then will disconnect. Half the time it will auto reconnect after 2 or 3 seconds, the other half it will not reconnect at all and I have to manually turn off the controller
and turn it back on for it to reconnect. Each time it does disconnect the frame rate of the game plummets for a few seconds. Then after some time passes, roughly an hour give or take, the issue will repeat for the entire gaming session.

My windows 10 is up to date as of this posting at build 1909 and my Elite series 2 controller is updated as well.

The support article for troubleshooting bluetooth issues on windows 10 does not help with the issue.

I have never connected the Elite series 2 controller to my Xbox One S, I bought it solely for PC gaming.

Forgot to mention, I am connecting via bluetooth. I do not have a wireless adapter nor do I want to connect using a usb cable.

So long as its paired correctly through the Xbox Game Streaming App, then yes, the Elite and Elite Series 2 controllers should both work on a mobile device via Bluetooth and wireless pairing on Android.
