    How to reconnect my previously downloaded Xbox PC games to a new Install of Windows 10/Xbox...


    I reinstalled Windows 10 on my PC and and had to redownload the Xbox App. My Xbox PC games are kept on a different internal hard drive. And the newly downloaded Xbox app does not see the already downloaded games. How do I point the app to the location where all my games are already downloaded from the previous version before? Doing this with my Steam account and games was real easy, but I can't seem to figure it out with the Xbox app. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

    Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, you will need to click the install to download any digital content for PC.

    If you have a Windows 10 device, you can now use the Xbox app to connect to the Xbox Live service.

    If you have previously upgraded your PC to Windows 10, now your PC have a license for it, you can download the Media Creation Tool for free to install a fresh new Windows 10 OS or upgrade your (reverted back) 8.1 OS without problem.

    Sounds to me like they aren't signed in with the same account they used before. To download previously purchased games again on a new system or otherwise, they need to be signed in with the same account that purchased the game/s.

    Xbox Companion App is for streaming games from an Xbox console to a PC. The Xbox App for PC is used for PC Game Pass, if you don't have Game Pass Ultimate or just Game Pass PC, you don't need to use this app as purchased games can be downloaded using the Windows Store App in Windows 10.
