Since the BC program is sadly over I'm curious what is the feasibility of the game being re-released now. I wanted to reach out to someone who can basically tell me how much money this would cost or if it's a legal issue that would cause problems.

FromSoftware used Microsoft as the publisher for the worldwide release. However, I believe, Microsoft doesn't own the IP for this game as the Japanese release was published by FromSoftware themselves. Therefore it would be entirely up to FromSoftware whether this game can be released to the latest console generation. You need to ask them.

Can't see any legal issues, but there most definitely will be a cost. Obviously they're not going to make it just for you. Development teams for games consist of hundreds of specialist people with budgets in the millions. Making games isn't cheap.

Realistically, I would say your chances of playing Tenchu Z either as a remaster or a BC game are practically nil though. Sorry.

The reason I thought it wasn't that crazy of a desire is because Metal Wolf Chaos managed to have a second life and it was a Japan only game. I imagine it wasn't a financial hit at the time, and it didn't score that high but still managed to be re-released.

However there was a cult following for that game, and an amusing marketable factor that Tenchu Z really doesn't seem to have. I certainly see the financial hurdle for converting any older game to modern platforms, especially for one like Tenchu Z.

The program ended, according to Xbox because of the difficulty to get access to new licenses for those games, but you can always share your idea trough the Idea Hub, that would be the proper channel
