How to Prevent Xbox Achievements Not Unlocking?

I have had to replay through two games the last couple of days (Star Wars: Episode 1 Racer & The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story) due to two miscellaneous achievements just not unlocking on either (a character unlock for Racer and one for petting a horse in Mageseeker). It is especially odd as the Mageseeker achievement for unlocking all achievements DID unlock which means I got the 'plat' while still missing one fo the achievements.

I have made peace with the fact that I am going to need to replay these games to get the achievements, but I was wondering if there is something I can do to prevent this issue from happening. I have a few VERY long games I want to work on (Hi-Fi Rush), but the idea of getting through all of it just to have to restart sounds terrible. My internet connection is very good and consistent, and after all but factory resetting the console, I have done everything in my power to fix this issue, so any tips or help would be appreciated.

Based on the description, you are having issue with unlocking achievements. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured that we will do our full capability to help resolve your concern in a timely manner.

To successfully unlock achievements and challenges, make sure that the following are true:

You’ve completed all the required elements to unlock the achievement. Note Make sure that you read the description for the achievement or challenge carefully. You may have to unlock a combination of achievements or challenges to unlock your rewards.
Your console must be connected to the Xbox network. To complete challenges and unlock achievements, your Xbox console can’t be set to offline.

Completed achievements that are pending confirmation from the Xbox network are listed as "Done! Unlocking." This means the achievement will be processed in the order that it was sent to the Xbox service, and it might take some time to be confirmed.

If you meet the requirements to complete the achievement or challenge, but you don't see the “toast” icon or the achievement isn't listed, try the solutions below.

1. Make sure that you are connected to the Xbox network

2. Check the Xbox Service status

3. Check your achievement progress on your console.

4. Check your achievement online.

5. Restart your console.

Vaynel's interpretation of how achievements work on XB1 is spot on. This was done to prevent achievement modding. But do not fret: as mentioned, if you meet the requirements for the achievement, it'll unlock when you connect to Live again.

I see they are unlocked now.

Achievements on the xbox one are linked to the cloud to prevent Gamerscore modding.

Sometimes it the cloud is playing up then it takes a while for the achievements to unlock but they usually do in the end.

Are guys are offline at the time you should gotten the achievements? If so. reconnected to XBOX LIVE and see that was thing preventing it from unlocking.
