    I'm in Greece NY and have the same issues, is any one working on a HDMI splitter issue for a passive pass-through while Time Warner /XBOXone update this feature. It is a little annoying to always have the XBOX on for just watching TV?????

    HDMI Pass Through Not Working

    I have the recommended configuration with HDMI from cable box to Xbox One and then output HDMI to TV. Watching TV works. When I tell Xbox Turn Off, I get a blank screen. The TV and cable box are still on. The HDMI pass through does not work. Anyone else
    having this problem?

    Hi buddy you have to have the xbox one on to watch live tv through the hdmi pass through

    On your xbox one.

    So to answer your question no it isnt possible to use the hdmi pass through to watch live tv without your xbox one power on

    HDMI passthrough disabled with XBOX One off / standby.

    I don't understand why MS didn't add passive pass-through.

    There are times when people just want to watch TV without having the Xbox on.

    Also there are real picture quality issues with the HDMI pass-through.

    The result is I'm now connecting the TV box directly to the TV.

    Given that the PS4 is better at playing games, the Xbox is not looking like a good buy.

    Really? No passive HDMI pass-through?

    While it is laughable that the Xbone does not have passive HDMI pass-through, I cant believe how an OPTION for TV to be the default boot option never made it past the meeting room. This option would have solved most users issues. I want to say one voice
    command to turn everything on. I DO NOT THEN WANT to tell it to "Watch TV". The main function of my TV is to watch television and its secondary purpose is to play video games when I feel like it.
