How to play online after xbox one dies?

My son's xbox one died and cannot be fixed. I refuse to buy another one and had purchased a couple games online for the box once the disk drive died. The technician told me the new controller I purchased could make gaming on the internet of laptop possible. How can I do this? I logged into our microsoft account and can't see my purchased games. How can I find them? Do I have to buy some game pass subscription??

If the games were bought for the console, you would have to see if they are Play Anywhere titles. https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/xbox-play-anywhere If they are, you can redownload them through the Microsoft Store or Xbox app on the laptop. If they are not, you would need the PC version of the games in order to play them on the laptop.

I loved this game online played it on my old account ! was amazing COD2 even better but after COD4 I believe the series died.

How funny would it be, that microsoft decided to just cancel the Xbox One and cut their loses. Then Sony would be the only decent Console maker left. ( Nintendo died after N64 )

This could be a faulty cable or battery. How old is the plug and play charger? Mine died after 2-3 years of hard work.

If you're playing on Legendary that's how it works. It's the only one that makes you both respawn if one dies.
