How to play once someone has joined your game

Hello! My son is 7 and we are very new to xbox live! He sent some friend requests, and one accepted and joined his game. We don't have his headset set up yet, so we had no idea how to find the other child once they joined. Am I totally clueless and can someone
help? Thanks

Gamerscore:?? after connecting to xbox rewards

How long has it been since you joined? Gamerscore only updates once a month in the program, so if you just joined you may not see that update until next month. Everything else takes about 96 hours to update, so if you just joined in the past couple of days,
it still may take another couple of days to show your join date.

so dont play with randoms and to be 100% safe dont even play with friends cos you never know if they have joined a game/ or a player has join theres with this virus. im guessing it works abit like them achievements you get for killing someone who already
has the achievement and look how quickly they spread?

I am going to guess you and your son were playing Minecraft. Beside using the headset to set up a private party to talk, you could use text messages to set an exact spot to meet at in the game world.

You raise a good point about recent players. Once someone joins your game because a mutual friend was in it one day, they can keep joining your game irrespective of whether their friend is playing because now they are in your recent players list. What
I wonder is, if you give them a bad report card through the Xbox reputation system, if that will stop someone from being able to join your game, or vice versa.

Does anyone know how the co-op will work? Will it for once have drop in/out co-op? The biggest mistake with that particular aspect in all of their games is you can't freaking join random people's games. You can only play it if you know people who want
to play it. Most of my friends play through it once then only play multiplayer. In every game I've played that has a random host/join co-op option, I've played the *** out of it. Every other game that has co-op gameplay, has that option. It's time they
get smart about it and add more replay value to their games.
