How to move money from Microsoft account to Childs Fortnite account

My kids wanted to buy some vbucks so we added money to their accounts but we can't figure out how to get it from the Microsoft account to their fortnite accounts. When they go through the process on their xbox it says it is sending approval to parents inbox
but we get nothing. So we have been charged the money but they aren't able to use it. Anyone know how to help?

So how do i change thos e setting from my account. The account i am using is a child account, and i am having the same message when i try to play fortnite

Screen limits for parent account

I am in your shoes. I never knew about a "child account" before I let my son go crazy with Fortnite. Can I change my account to be a child account now, so that I can make use of time limits?

The integration between XBox Gamertags and Microsoft accounts is far from clear.

Same issue. I put money in childs account an fortnite doesnt recognize it.

I'm afraid it's not possible to change a Adult account to a Child account, it's also not possible to move achievements and progress from one Xbox Live account to another Xbox Live account.

There are a few exceptions like Fortnite, where it should be possible to link the Epic account (the account that holds Fortnite progress) to another Xbox Live Account.

You would have to co tact fortnite and see if they can move the gamer tag associated with the account.
