How to move child account to new parent account?

I ask this question because only the account that added the child account can remove it from the family group.

So, if you have access to this account, please follow these steps to move the child account:

Step 1. Log in to the account here:

Step 2. Click on the dots next to the child account name.

Step 3. Click “remove from family group”.

Step 4. Log in to the new parent account one more time here:
https://account.microsoft.com/family/home

Step 5. Click on “add member” and type the email address of the child account.
As this is a child account, select the role as a “member” of the family.

Step 6. Accept the invitation on the child account, and you should be able to manage the child account permissions.

Child accounts

An Xbox LIVE child account can move to a new region even if the parent account stays in its original region. But the parent will still have to accept the Terms of Use in the new region on the child’s behalf.

If the child is a minor (as defined by applicable law) in one region but isn’t a minor in the other region, the account can’t be moved between those regions.

Looks like as per the second paragraph, it doesn't seem to be possible. You may have to wait until you are 18.

Create a new parent account and add the child account to it by signing in with the new parental account at account.microsoft.com/family

It is easy

First goto accounts.microsoft.com and sign in with the parental email

Goto manage child accounts

Then remove the said child account email

Then signin on the child account then assign an new parental email
