    How to make xbox game bar show horizontally instead of vertically


    For some reason when I press Windows + G in a game, I get some odd vertically designed game bar with all the same buttons as the horizontal bar. Why did this happen? Can I switch back to horizontal? This started happening out of the blue. It looks like this.

    Hello Blake,

    Thank you for posting her eon the Xbox forums. There should be an option in your game bar settings to adjust this. Check your game bar settings here :

    1. Right-click the Start button.
    2. Click Settings.
    3. Click Gaming.
    4. Click Game DVR.

    Then why it shows wrong too if I put it horizontally? Instead of the light 1 it shows the light 3, kinda like the horizontal and vertical modes were swapped

    Is the unit horizontal or vertical? I suggest putting slims in the horizontal position. (original Xboxes in the vertical) Also make sure the are no airflow obstructions around the sides and top or the unit.
