    How to make my account an adult account on Xbox?


    I just bought my own personal Xbox (I used to share with siblings) but for some reason I am not a parent on my own Xbox. I am 18 and my parents have never owned Xbox accounts. For as long as I can remember I have always been in full
    parental control of my families Xbox permissions, however my primary account is for some reason not given those parent permissions on this new Xbox. I checked in the settings and it is telling me that my parent is my old gamer tag that was made on accident
    when I got my first Xbox. It goes without saying that I use and have been using my primary account and not the old one and yet for some strange reason the old one is the one in control.

    How do I change this to allow my primary account to be the one in control of my Xbox?

    Hi I have just got an Xbox one for X mas and I made account and it was all working
    I then bought gold and I was fine until I tried to buy a £35 giftcard (today) to buy the BO3 Season pass and I got the 35 on the console to buy it and when I tried to buy it of the store it said I wasn't allowed and I needed to change settings in online privacy and allow buying online
    turns out my brother had deleted the adult account and I can't get back on it as It is deleted I have tried creating new adult accounts but they wont work on allowing my account Sherbertlemons0 to buy stuff how do create a new account to be the adult of Sherbertlemons0 as it wont let me buy stuff
    please help me anybody as I have spent £75 this month on stuff for xbox and don't really want to create a new account what do I do and how can I create another new adult account for Sherbertlemons0???

    Delete Family Account That Isn't Mine (Pre Owned Xbox One)

    I recently bought a pre-owned Xbox One and I downloaded my Xbox Live account. I added a prepaid $25 gift card so I could get Rocket League, when I went to pay for it, it wouldn't let me pay for it because my account isn't an adult account on the Xbox. So
    I looked at the Family settings, and the only adult account isn't mine. The account isn't downloaded so I can't sign in to it so I can make my account an adult account. How do I make my account an adult account and delete the family? The adult account GamerTag

    You would have to create a new child account and to be able to set the parental controls. Changing the birthdate on the MS account does not transfer over to the Xbox account. Unfortunately no progress or Gamerscore would be able to transfer to the new account
    should you create it.

    I can't remember 100% but I am sure whoever set up the child account can change it. Like if you made an adult account on the xbox before making the child account that adult account can change wether the child account is a child account or and adult one.
    I will just test this out myself now and post how it went
