how to make child xbox account adult

I want to make my xbox account and adult account because it will not let me use a mic to talk in party. i have apple earbuds i am using

I can't remember 100% but I am sure whoever set up the child account can change it. Like if you made an adult account on the xbox before making the child account that adult account can change wether the child account is a child account or and adult one.
I will just test this out myself now and post how it went

You can't change an adult account into a child account

You would have to create a new child account and to be able to set the parental controls. Changing the birthdate on the MS account does not transfer over to the Xbox account. Unfortunately no progress or Gamerscore would be able to transfer to the new account
should you create it.

Make sure that you still have a valid Xbox Live gold membership. Now, if you're a child account, sign into the parent account on your Xbox One and once signed in, go to Settings > All Settings > Accounts > Family > select the child account > Privacy and
online safety. Make sure to set it to adult default. If it's already set to that settings, set it to child then save then switch it back to adult and save. That's how you refresh the restriction of the child account.

Hello Jake, I see that it has two questions, the first unfortunately it is not possible to turn a child account into an adult, what you must do in these cases is to place your account in a family and give the permissions for that account.

As for the Apple Ear buds they are not compatible with the Xbox standard so you will not be able to use the Microphone.
