how to long into windows xbox after already making account with the email?

I understand you need help with your account problem.

You must have used a different email on your main account before since the email you are using provided you a new Xbox account.

It would be better to check other emails you have and try logging in to them as well.

couple of things that you are going to want to do is follow this link

1. account.live.com/acsr and try and reset that password for that account if you can reset the password then you can follow the following link which will give you instructions on how to change the email address associated with that account then you can
create a new account with your email (as long is it is not an email that's already associated with Microsoft I.E. @live.com, @Hotmail.com, @outlook.com) if it is and you remove the email from that account then you will lose it forever and no way to get it
back. but basically what your going to want to do Is add a dummy outlook.com by signing in at account.live.com/addassocid to the account that currently has your email address attached to it and then making the dummy outlook account the primary email and then
you can remove your email from that account and then make a new account with your email address. and make your own gamertag that you want that will not cost you anything.

I am under the impression that the Xbox account's email is also the one used for Windows...so by doing what you say, won't my Windows account follow to the dummy outlook email?

If you get that message then there likely already is an xbox live account present on that email address. Do you use that email address as account on a Windows Phone or Windows 8(.1) PC? Then an xbox live account could already be present based on the outlook
email address

Hey Chris! You could say that, but it's more so because that email already has a profile attached to it. To remedy this you'll first need an alternate email address - one that has not already been attached to a profile!



Once you have that email address, we can change this current gamertag 'StuffierJet8' to that email address using your console. This will free up the email address attached to your Windows 8 account! After changing this email make sure you don't log in on
your Windows 8 account before you go to change the Xbox LIVE profile you want to your already existing email.



To change the MSA email on your Xbox 360 console you can take these steps:

1. Navigate to the Settings Hub (far right on the dashboard) and select Account.
   
2. Navigate to Your Information panel and select Account Security.
3. Select Change Microsoft Account.
4. Select Yes once you have created a new Microsoft Account.
5. Enter the password for your current Microsoft Account.
6. Enter the Microsoft Account and password you would like to use.
7. Complete the prompts to save your change.

######@gmail is my microsoft account I use on my PC and for windows. This is my primary email address.

######@hotmail is the account I was forced to make back when I subscribed to Xbox live (this was a long time ago). I never use this email address for anything.

Game purchases were done directly through the xbox, and therefore the hotmail account. How at least one item can be used on the PC. Conversely I have two games on my PC account that can be played on the xbox.
