I'm not having any trouble logging in on any platform and playing. I was hoping that because the game was purchased previously and I'm now paying for Gamepass I would be able to play with my son using different accounts on the two different platforms. When one person is playing on the Xbox and the other tries to join on the computer I get a message saying that the game is already in use.

Ok, try this, log out the Xbox app and then log with a different account, after that launch the game and try to play again

A different test could be using a different device in the same network and the same account

Meh, don't really care too much. But there is one issue I would not care for. The different Terms of Use for each Platform. How would this be addressed given each Platforms individuality?
