How to listen to music via Xbox Wireless adapter to Xbox wireless headset.

I cannot find anything online about this. I recently purchased the Xbox Wireless Headset, whilst the Bluetooth music to my iPhone is pretty clear, it is terrible via Bluetooth to my PC. When connected via USB-C it is again crystal clear. I purchased an Xbox Wireless adapter in hopes the headset would connect via that and then transmit music/audio via that instead of Bluetooth but I am unable to identify how or if even this is possible? The headset shows in the Xbox accessories app on PC via the Xbox Wireless adapter but I cannot get any audio to transmit to it.

Works via Bluetooth but audio quality is not as good as when connected via USB-C. Hoped Xbox Wireless adapter would fix this, but cannot receive audio via this method.

Any ideas?

This would fix the problem but it wont if you are using the headset wireless to chat in a party on xbox app or other apps and listen to game audio/music at the same time, unless you use the xbox wireless adapter you cannot use the stereo on the xbox wireless headset for both chat and gaming.

This is a feature of using this headset on windows (not experienced it with any others), even though you can join a party on the mobile app and listen to music or play a game without this problem at all.

only ways around being able to use the headset in stereo on windows pc while having chat/calls is to either plug it in via usb c or buying the xbox wireless adapter

Hello Vortex, usually when a headset is configured on the PC either by bluetooth or cable the Windows system itself offers on the volume part of the system the option to direct the output to the device.

Check if you have the latest version of Windows installed, at 21H2, because recently came out the latest update to Windows 10.

The quality of Bluetooth audio would likely be dependent on what version of Bluetooth is in the adapter on your computer. The older versions are more compressed

If you right click on audio options in the taskbar you should be able to select your audio output source

Yes I have the most recent update of 21H2, it was installed 28th Feb 2021 on my machine.

Hi all, after a couple of restarts the headphones now work with the PC on a wireless connection using the Xbox Wireless Adaptor (not Bluetooth). Audio quality is extremely improved.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Bluetooth is still a mystery regarding quality as I only built the machine last year with new, mid-high range Asus/Corsair parts.
