    How to link a new Microsoft account to my Xbox account


    When I got my Xbox one, I set it up with an old email adress. I want to change the Microsoft account associated with my Xbox to my primary Microsoft account. Does anyone know how to do this?

    The Microsoft account is also an Xbox account.

    If you want to create a new Xbox account, it's only possible to create a new Microsoft account.

    The Microsoft account is also an Xbox account.

    I am sorry but this is not possible.

    We can't transfer contents from one account to another, and the Xbox Account is the same as your Microsoft Account, they are not separate.

    As you have said, the next "best" solution is using a different Alias.

    You will lose the e-mail alias but not the e-mails and the Inbox.

    Yeah I thought as much. But if I switch alias and delete the old one. Is there a way to delete the inbox email too?. The whole point of me switching is to start afresh haha
