How to know whether my XBOX One S is NTSC or PAL type?

Xbox Ones are region free when it comes to disc versions of games.

It's only Blu-Ray film discs that are region locked as well as some digital content.

It is purchased on Amazon India site. Can i believe that it is PAL and buy the the game? Or will i be able to find it any configuration.

What country are you in ?

As NTSC is only used in North America, Japan and a few countries in South America.

Most other countries use PAL apart from Russia and some in Africa that use SECAM.

I don't know how it is in the US but I can play NTSC games on my german PAL console. You just need a TV that can show both frequencies ! PAL games are a bit slower than NTSC games.

You've not been keeping up with technology. For Xbox One and Series X/S there are no PAL and NTSC formats. There no longer any PAL and NTSC frequencies either, certainly not over HDMI.
Also the Xbox One and the Series X/S are region free in terms of disc games.

Yes, back in day, NTSC was 60Hz and PAL was 50Hz, at least that was until the early late 90's and early 00's when European TV's adopted the 'PAL 60' format. Before PAL 60, all European games consoles going back to the earliest machines like the Atari 2600
ran games slower than their U.S counterparts. That's not the case anymore. European consoles have been able to play 60Hz (and hence 60fps) games since the Xbox 360/PS3 days.

No. The consoles don't look different as it's just the way the drives are coded. I'm not sure, but check the back of the console to see if it says anything. Typically North American consoles are NTSC. PAL is European and other countries. There are discs
that are region free though.
