How to keep from not being able to use my PIN on my laptop?

Here is how tp reset your PIN if you can't receive a verification code:

Please access the login screen. Turn on your laptop and go to the sign-in screen where you would normally enter your PIN.

And then select "Forgot my PIN" Kindly look below the PIN entry field and click on the "I forgot my PIN" option.

After that is to choose verification method. You will likely be prompted to choose an alternative way to verify your identity.

Then use a different email address. If have have linked a different email to your Microsoft account, enter it and follow the instructions to receive a verification code.

Or you can also answer security questions. If you have set up security questions, you may be able to use them to reset your PIN.

It looks like it has resolved itself somehow. My laptop wasn't signing into Windows Group Policy (or something like that) for some reason, and that was what was keeping me from being able to sign in.
