How to install XBOX anywhere game on PC using family acount

Digital licenses are associated to the Microsoft account used in purchasing the game. This means that in order to install the game, you'll need to sign in to the Windows Store app using the Microsoft account you've used in purchasing
the game. To do so, kindly sign in to the child's user account, then manually sign in to the Store app using your Microsoft account. Here are steps:

1. Launch the Windows Store application.
2. Click your account profile.
   
   
3. Click your child's Microsoft account email address.
4. Click Sign out.
5. Sign back in using the parent's Microsoft account. Download the game.

So I have to buy the game on my microsoft acount either on the pc or the xbox? Some say u can use Microsoft Family does that work?

The standard sharing features apply to Xbox Play anywhere, which means, if the Xbox console you're playing on is that family member's "Home Console", then you can play it.

If you want to play it on a PC, it's a bit more complicated.

The family member has to make sure, you are a member of the family on
https://account.microsoft.com/family.

Also, the family member has to have an account on the PC you want to play the game on.

Then you will have to sign in with your own account on your PC and have the family member sign in with their family account on the Windows Store app under your account.

There they can then download and install the Play Anywhere game that you want to play which is on their own account.

How to install Xbox games on Windows 10

To install a new Xbox game on Windows 10:

1. Using your Microsoft account, sign in to the device where you want to play the game.
2. On the Start screen, select All Apps from the menu.
3. Scroll to find the game you want to play. Select the game.

You only need to get it once. All play anywhere titles will be available as long as you log in with the acount that purchased the game pass. No need to have one on PC too if you already own it for XBOX.
