how to install direct x 9 on windows 10

hi there, I am trying to install DirectX 9 on windows 10. it says this version isn't compatible for the version. i want to know what the problem is but have research every possible problem to solve. they say it's the graphics card drive but i don't want to jump into conclusions that might be the problem, or it can be the windows 10. if any person has a solution for me let me know

While the current version of Windows DirectX12 including in Windows 10 and 11 is fully compatible with older versions of DirectX, optional components of DirectX9 have never been included. These optional components are usually distributed as end-user runtimes as part of a game download in digitally purchased games, or were included on the install disc.

If your old game doesn't come with these components, you won't be able to run it until you install them.

Download the official DirectX Redist 2010 which should include these missing libraries

Hello Toxiqity,

It is possible that you are trying to install Xbox Launcher for PC on a version that isn't Windows 10?

Also, try to reinstall Direct X and update the Graphic Cards drivers.

Direct X is part of windows and is not installed separately

Hi,

Always check if all drivers are up to date also for Windows 10 check if there is any updates to do.

Dont forget to install direct x ( dxwebsetup.exe ).

Uninstall app , reboot computer and finally re-install the app.
