How to improve windows 10 xbox streaming latency/input lag?

Hello fellow gamers,

I have a few questions involving the xbox app on windows 10. When streaming xbox to windows 10 I have extremely high latency. If you do not know what latency is it is the time it takes from when you make a move on the controller for it to show up on screen.

Although my network specs shouldn't make a difference i will include them just to cover all bases. I have Xfinity internet with a download speed of around 60Mb/s and an upload of around 6Mb/s (speedtest.net). I am using an asus
RT-AC87U gaming router with Quality of Service (QOS) enabled allowing my Xbox and Gaming desktop first dibs on network usage. Both my Xbox one console and PC are wired directly to the RT-AC87U router.

Also my PC has much higher than recommended specs for streaming, I7 3.6GHz 16GB ram. Also all programs on my PC that would be requiring the network are closed and I still have high latency. Even when switching between quality levels (very high to medium)
the latency does not improve at all. Although playing on my laptop (Lenovo yoga i5 1.5GHz 4GB ram) has decreased latency but still noticeable but I believe the latency is caused by the laptop being wireless. Also the laptop is running a few applications asking
for network time. Still why does a wireless laptop have less latency compared to a wired desktop? Also the latency does not change by connecting the hdmi from my laptop to my TV (Current monitor for my desktop). So i do not see the TV as being the cause for
the latency.

Could it be the speed at which my desktop is sending the information to my TV? That is the only thing I can think of being the problem as of now. I have a GTX 960 graphics card in my desktop. Although all other games I play on my desktop (CS:GO, H1Z1) etc
have no noticeable latency or input lag when playing them. I like to stream games over twitch and would be using software on my desktop to stream xbox to twitch as well. Yes i have tried the windows 10 streaming both with twitch and without twitch streaming,
the latency does not change between cases.

So my question to you Xbox community, is there anything anyone has tried or has any possible solutions for this problem? I would like to reduce the latency as close to none as possible and everything will help.

Wireless network quality will have a large impact on your game streaming experience. Try the following solutions in this order:

1. If possible, connect both your Xbox One console and your PC over a wired Ethernet connection.

I've noticed on my end that sometimes drivers are the issue. When I first tried streaming, I'd have no imput lag at all except for once every few minutes the stream will become garbled and lag really bad for about 5 seconds, then go back to normal. I originally
solved it by reinstalling my wifi drivers. Now, after an update, I'm starting to get a similar sort of lag every few minutes, although not as bad. Not really garbled, just jerky for about 5 seconds at a time. I've tried reverting wifi drivers, but it still
does it, so could be due to something else. Still basically playable, but sometimes the lag spike happens at the worst times! Otherwise, I have NO input lag at all. My xbox is wired and I'm using my laptop connected using wireless AC at 866 mpbs.

Funny thing though, my gaming laptop has two video cards, an Intel one and an Nvidia 860m. When I use my Nvidia one, it runs poorly, with noticeable input lag and the image seems weird; hard to explain. But everything runs perfect while using the Intel
one. So perhaps is less of a connection issue and more of a video driver one sometimes.
